YNG Forum Officer

MISSION OF THE yng FORUM OFFICER

Bring your influencer talents to the forefront as the key advocate for forum programming, budget and health within the YNG Community and share your leadership as the primary role model and resource on forum protocol and policy.


KEY GOALS of the yng FORUM OFFICER

  • Set network forum goals and ensure the network executive committee supports the role of forum.

  • Develop network forum policy with a specific focus on confidentiality and conflicts of interest.

  • Ensure forum effectiveness and overall forum health within the network.

  • Ensure members interested in forum are placed in a timely fashion.


RESPONSIBILITIES of the yng FORUM OFFICER

  • Develop your program — assess forum health, establish your team and identify their successors, create

    goals, update network forum database.

  • Secure financial support — create a budget, present data, request funding.

  • Develop a comprehensive forum policy — understand the need, review existing policy or create new policy, update, gain approval and distribute.

  • Ensure moderator effectiveness and forum health — require training completion, hold moderator meetings, ensure confidentiality.

  • Place members fairly and quickly into a forum — identify business conflicts, follow your policy, integrate.

  • Quickly establish new forums as needed.

TIME INVESTMENT OF THE YNG FORUM OFFICER

  • Support all forum moderators

  • Meet with forum facilitators as needed

  • Attend Forum Moderator & Leadership Development

  • Attend executive committee meetings and calls monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly

QUALIFYING CRITERIA of the yng FORUM OFFICER

  • YNGer in good standing between the age of 18-30.

  • Possess leadership qualities that include open mind, community builder, listening, empathy and commitment to growth of others.

  • Passion for Forum, creating connections and collaborating.

  • Must have demonstrated leadership and engagement in YPO.
