YNG Community Chair

MISSION OF THE yng cOMMUNITY cHAIR

Channel your passion into a community focused on providing young adults with experiences, knowledge and tools that can enhance leadership abilities and make personal lives more fulfilling.


KEY GOALS of the yng community chair

  • Advocate for your community through strategic planning, programming and budgeting.

  • Encourage engagement and participation by creating valuable content.

  • Enrich the health of your community by involving YNGers from regions around the world and utilizing communication, events, learning and leadership development best practices.


RESPONSIBILITIES of the yng community chair

  • Partner with the YPO Family Council member appointed Co-Chair to lead the YNG Community.

  • Maintain oversight of each officer’s responsibilities and succession planning.

  • Lead the community executive committee in creating the vision and objectives.

  • Establish agendas for calls and meetings.

  • Collaborate with Family Council Co-Chair and YNG Community Director to allocate the community’s  budget.

  • Communicate with other YPO chairs for ideas, input and cooperation.

  • Attend the Family council meetings in person and via  teleconference.

  • Actively solicit feedback from all members to ensure the community evolves appropriately and fulfills members.

TIME INVESTMENT OF THE YNG COMMUNITY CHAIR

  • Hold one strategy meeting annually

  • Participate in all executive committee meetings - monthly/bimonthly/quarterly

  • Participate in events

  • Meet with respective YPO associates regularly

  • Participate in Family Council calls.

  • Attend an onboarding meeting
