YNG Engagement Officer

MISSION OF THE yng ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Serve as an active resource for your peers to help them engage in YNG and maximize their experience. Partner with the YNG Community learning officer to design an environment that supports and encourages member connectivity, promotes their attendance at events, and engages them in discussion boards, forum and mentoring.


KEY GOALS of the yng ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

  • Establish a foundation for the creation of member connectivity.

  • Promote community member attendance at events and engagement in discussion boards, forum and mentoring.

  • To increase member engagement, coordinate communications with community manager and learning officers regarding opportunities.


RESPONSIBILITIES of the yng ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

  • Ensure the community is informed of activities and member information through newsletters and website participation.

  • Develop an annual communication plan and oversee newsletter content.

  • Encourage the use of the community site by posting news items and starting discussion board threads.

    Monitor discussion threads to ensure appropriateness.

  • Work with the learning officer to effectively promote programs via the community and YPO channels (where appropriate).

  • Ensure consistency of all communications and marketing.

TIME INVESTMENT OF THE YNG ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

  • Participate in a mix of virtual and in-person executive committee meetings (monthly/bimonthly/quarterly).

  • Participate in select events.

  • Meet virtually with YNG Community Chair regularly.

  • Meet virtually with management associates as needed.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA of the yng ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

  • YNGer in good standing between the age of 18-30. 

  • Must have demonstrated leadership and engagement in YNG.
